2006-05-18 Columbia High-Speed Palletizer Ensures

Columbia Machine's HL8000 high level palletizer is designed to provide high-speed performance coupled with careful handling capabilities to stack even the most delicate beverage products, whether its cases, trays, fridge-friendly packs, shrink-film with pad or shrink film only. The HL8000’s soft turning conveyor section uses variable frequency drives to turn and arranges beverage cases with no product impact. The modular layer accumulation sections are used to obtain speeds up to 150 cases per minute (CPM) while palletizing 12-pack beverage cases in 16-case patterns. Additional features include the latest programmable logic controls and motion controls for easy operation. A variable-speed, servo-driven hoist provides precise control while obtaining high speeds and ensures product is not damaged. Like all Columbia machinery, the HL8000 palletizer features rugged, heavy-duty construction, and is designed for easy maintenance. It also features a clean design for sanitary food environments.
