Columbia’s New Infeed Device Ensures Soft Handling of Cases
Columbia Machine’s new turning infeed device is especially designed for the floor level
case palletizers to provide greater case control and soft handling.
Combined with a lane diverter and centering capabilities, the system is ideal for palletizing case styles that require special handling, including bliss and display cases. It provides greater control features such as “labels-out” case palletizing.
The system’s unique split-roller section is controlled by four servo or electric drives and can turn cases 90°, 180°, or 270° with pinpoint accuracy at high speeds.
The turning infeed device also reduces product damage by eliminating traditional case-turning pins and shoes. And with a “double row” flow divider, the entire case handling system can significantly increase production-line speeds.
For more than 40 years, Columbia Machine has manufactured high-level, floor-level, and robotic palletizers and accessories in the USA. All Columbia products are backed by 24-hour customer support and parts service.
